Saw that coming
Ah, the wonders of higher education. Got a bit of a bone to pick. This last Sunday both of my online history courses had the outline due. After writing them up I sent them to my professor. Naturally I expected a quick response. Oh, that wouldn't happen. No. Instead I get a response the other day saying I need to develop them more. Here's the thing, I already wrote the fucking essays because they are due this coming Sunday. Yeah. Plus, I can't really develop them more because they are just outlines. Bullet points and the like. Not to mention the topics only have a handful of sources provided to use so I can't be expected to just pull info out of my ass. Ugh.
I hate school.
School and work, the terrible marriage
Today has been nothing but avoiding working on my essays. I have two to write by next Sunday but for the life of me I cannot seem to stay focused to work on them. So far I have knocked out two full pages and on the third page for my first essay. It centers on European and Muslim relations around and during the Crusades. Luckily I don't have to worry too much about the quality as I have a decent grade in the class. As for my other history class I need to do some good work on the essay which is why I am saving it for second. That one concentrates on the decolonization of Africa and Asia following World War II and how those new countries rose from it. Not really looking forward to it but I will do my best.
Aside from the school shit, work has been the usual. I did manage to snag a benefit the other night. I went to see The Avengers after work yesterday and when I got to the theater I noticed the next two showings were sold out. It has never happened to me before at this particular theater so I went for a later showing. When I got there I walked in and noticed the lines to get it. There was a girl with a clip board watching over and she noticed me. It was one of the girls who comes to the photo department every now and then to print. I've helped her quite a bit so she knew me the moment she saw. She motioned for me and went "Hey, I know you." I acknowledged and she said that since I help her a lot at my place that she'll help me bypass the lines. I was quite surprised and followed her. The trick pulled through and she got me in before anyone else to pick out my seats. I thanked her and got in. Next time she visits the lab, discount easily. Made my night.
I guess I should continue working on my essay, though I may just end up doing some work on my fake country's bio which I have on here.
Working weeks
It's been a while since posting last. I haven't had too much free time as of the last few weeks. In the last 14 days I have worked 12. First day off in a week is today and it is highly welcome. Another good thing to take note of is that I don't have to go to work until the afternoon tomorrow unlike my usual Friday schedule. I'll take it for sure.
Not too much new news. I haven't heard anything back about the little knife incident weeks back, not that I am complaining. Any write up and I'm gone. In any case, work is the same except for some interesting developments in some people's character. Not liking some new traits. I am hopeful it doesn't last but who knows. I just do my thing and go home.
As for home life, my old car is finally gone. Some guy bought it for $250 and my parents plan to pay me back the $1500 I paid for the damned thing. I also got my tax returns the other day which puts me over the most money I've had at a single time. Working on my way to the goal I have set for myself. Forcing myself to spend less isn't a strong point, that's for sure.

Crazy shit
Life has been crazy as of late. Don't really feel like explaining too much here but let me just say one day had me in the ER because of an accident (I was not the patient luckily). Work stuff. Could be a whole lot better.
I hope to be updating more sometime soon. I've been working a lot lately and don't have too much free time.

Slight inkling of a hangover today. Fun, wild times last night with my partner in crime. T'was a jolly good time.
Aside from that, being lazy now. Need to start homework but don't feel like it. Think I'm going to make some soup and watch some tv.
Such a dull issue
My car has returned to life as of Thursday. Took the ol' girl in for repairs and found out it was just the battery being a piece of shit. Go figure. They swapped it out and washed my car and then it was back to my normal boring life.
Work the last two days was typical as per usual. Truck and warehouse work along with the occasional annoying photo customer. Did my share of work around the store and now get to enjoy a day off tomorrow. Just need to start on some homework and then I have the day to blow off. I also started EVE Online back up so that should provide some entertainment. Dusted off my Caldari girl and now have her training skills once more.
Internet spaceships. Engage.
Of course things get worse
The lack of updates as of late are because of events that have transpired over the last few days. On Friday I drove to work only to have my car not start. It was pouring that day and I ended up having to jump it twice while getting soaked. The car is still under warranty considering it is only over a year old. Need to call the dealership either today or tomorrow so I can try and get it in on my day off on Thursday. Hopefully they can get it all fixed quick.
Another thing that soured the weekend was the fact that my parents are out of town and they asked to borrow money from me so they could get home from Seattle where they are visiting my half-brother. Really wasn't happy with that and I will make sure I get paid back big time. I make sure I don't go places if I know I don't have enough money, why can't they?
At least Sunday made up for these two things. Had a good 24 hours with a co-worker and some adventures.
Reunion, without taco, but war with the job
Ever since Saturday I have managed to stay away from Taco Bell. Amazing, I know. The ordeal over the weekend put me over the edge so I am trying to get my stomach back to normal. It's hard while at work since there isn't too much of a selection when it comes to finding something decent for lunch. Also, there aren't very many choices nearby for a thirty minute lunch break. Not sure when I will cave back to my taco overlords.
Speaking of work, it seems they are trying to screw over more people. It's becoming their favorite thing to do. This time they are targeting assistant managers, though they just got renamed to "shift team leaders". This basically lets Walgreens cut their hours and play with their pay. Really fucked up, especially seeing that they keep opening new stores and boasting all these improvements and cost cutting measures. Yeah fuckers, when are we going to see that help us? I also heard that starting pay for this new bullshit position is pretty much what I make now so my interest in applying for promotion dropped. More responsibilities for the same pay? Yeah fucking right.
Even with this bullshit being thrown down, one of the managers has been given me chances to learn the ropes and the other night he let me closeout the registers and do the paperwork they do every night. Was a good experience and I didn't do too bad with all of it which was a plus. A few more times and I think I'll be comfortable with all of it.
As for the last few days I have been working on some essays for class. Managed to finish the first one pretty quickly and the second one was wrapped up earlier this morning. I need to sent them in before Sunday so it gives me time to go back over and do any edits that may be needed. Hopefully they both keep their respective grades level.
And as for the reunion bit, Community was back tonight and it was great. Can't wait to see the rest of the season.
War against tacos
Seems like my habit of having Taco Bell for lunch at work has come back to haunt me, at least today. Heartburn was burning my insides like a motherfucker today. Tried all the weapons in my book but to no avail. It's gone now but I hope it doesn't come back anytime soon. Made the day go by really slow and suffering at work is a terrible way to spend eight hours. Aside from that it was a typical "try to get through this day fast" kind of day. All I did was work on the warehouse and try to make photo look busy to pass time. Worked for the most part.
Over this week I will be working on two essays for my history classes. Not really looking forward to bullshitting my way through them but I need to get it over with before next Sunday. One essay will be on ancient cities such as Rome and Alexandria while the other is about relations between Europe and the East (China and the Middle East). Both should be fairly easy. I did have the option to write about slavery but I for one am sick of the topic as school has burned it in our minds since the start. It ranks with the Civil War as topics I don't care to learn about any more. We'll see how the two papers go. Hoping for decent grades all around.
